Gold Filled
Caring for gold filled jewelry is relatively easy; daily cleaning is important to prevent tarnish:
1. The easiest cleaning method is to wear gold-filled jewelry during a shower.
2. Gently wipe your gold filled jewelry with polishing cloth every now and then to promote shine.
3. Be mindful that perfume, hairspray and lotions may tarnish gold-filled jewelry due to the harsh chemicals they contain.
4. After cleaning your gold-filled jewelry, keep it fully dry before you store it individually in our jewelry bag or small zip-lock bags to prevent scratching.
5. Avoid wearing gold filled jewelry during sleep. The delicate chain might accidentally be damaged.
925 Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver requires special care to preserve its appearance and longevity:
1. Silver jewelry remains at its shiniest when worn daily.
2. Do not wear it in the water. This includes pools, spas, hot springs and saunas.
3. Put on silver jewelry after cosmetics or lotion have been absorbed by the skin.
4. You may use a silver-polishing cloth, silver-polishing cleaner or toothpaste to polish your silver jewelry. (Note: Do not use silver-polishing cleaner or toothpaste when the jewelry contains other gemstones. Also, silver-polishing cleaner can only be used when serious tarnish occurs.)
5. After cleaning your silver jewelry, keep it fully dry before you store it individually in our jewelry bag, or small zip-lock bags to prevent scratching.
6. Silver is a soft metal, which means it’s extremely malleable. It might bend as easily as an earring needle. You can gently re-adjust it to its original position.
Gold-Plated
To decrease the chances of color fading, here are some easy ways to maintain the luster of your gold plated jewelry:
1. Do not spray perfume on Gold-Plated jewelry- perfume and other sprays may contaminate the metal, causing it to look blemished or stained.
2. Remove Gold-Plated jewelry before swimming or exercising - your sweat creates tarnishes on Gold-Plated jewelry just like perfume, chlorine and nail polish.
3. Put on Gold-Plated jewelry after cosmetics or lotion have been absorbed by the skin.
4. Clean your gold plated jewelry with a soft cloth. Do not use a silver-polishing cloth.
5. Store every piece properly and individually - humidity affects the durability of Gold-Plated jewelry. Remember to keep it in a dry place, and store it individually in plastic bags or small zip-locks to prevent scratch
